Our Wednesday night fall elective classes begin 2 weeks from tonight. What is the point? Why should you consider these?

Cornerstone Baptist Church exists to glorify God (make much of Him), by helping believers become more like Christ through means that God has ordained for us to follow such as: Worship (Sunday morning congregational gathering), Instruction (Adult Bible Fellowship classes and other classes and seminars), Fellowship (Adult Bible Fellowship, Small Groups, Discipling, Counseling, and Mentoring), and Evangelism (sharing the gospel with family and friends, missions, church-planting, and specific events). In order to disciple well, counsel well, teach well, and lead well, we provide a number of different seminars and classes on Wednesday evenings to help equip people to serve faithfully.

The classes cover a number of topics, but they primarily focus on helping people serve well. Should you consider any of them? That depends on whether or not you are seeking to be a faithful member. Some of you are faithfully involved and are a wonderful encouragement to others. Others of you would like to learn how to be in a discipling relationship, or how to give godly counsel to others, amongst other things. This is where these classes are particularly helpful and practical.

Wednesday evenings are more than leadership and ministry training. They are also ministry involvement. Our children’s ministry on Wednesday evenings is one of our strengths. The English as a Second Language ministry (ESL) teaches English to people who are generally from other cultures and have not been exposed to the gospel. Our music ministry rehearses on Wednesday nights and our student ministry meets also.
