October 4 Special Members’ Meeting Motion
Today there will be a special Members’ Meeting right after church to consider the following motion: The Finance Team recommends and the Elder Board supports spending up to $192,000 from the General Reserves to replace the two HVAC units up front and repair the unit in back. At the end of 2026, we would replenish the General Reserves to $135,000 and then place the rest of the anticipated 2026 surplus in the Maintenance Sinking fund for projects next year.

*Moms Helping Moms
Moms of all ages, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to be encouraged, to be the encourager, to learn from other moms, and meet new friends. Mark your calendars for the first Moms Helping Moms meeting on Monday, October 12, 9:30-11 AM. A panel of three moms will be discussing discipline and discipleship of children infant through teen years. Childcare is provided infant through school age. Be sure to pick up a bookmark with future dates and topics at the kiosk in the hallway. Please sign up yourself and any children that will need childcare using the form on Cornerstone Connection.

*Preschool Storytime

Friday, October 16, at 9:30 AM is Preschool Storytime for children five and under and their adult. We will read a few books from our library, sing some songs, make a simple craft, and have a simple snack. We meet in the Gathering Space outside the library. Coffee and Chat

Ladies, even if you prefer tea or cocoa, you can still come! Saturday, October 17 from 10:30 AM - noon, we will meet in the cafe area and enjoy chatting together.

Wednesday Dinners

This is a time to eat and fellowship before Wednesday night classes. The first dinner will be October 21, 5:30 - 6:10 PM. Buy your tickets in the Gathering Space on Sunday, October 18. Tickets are $6 per person with a $24 maximum per family.

Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Boxes will be available Sunday, October 18, and are due back Sunday, November 8. More information on how to pack a shoebox can be found at samaritanspurse.org.
