Dave K, admin pastor here. Let me tell you about three calendar items that are coming up in the next week.
Disaster Relief Training – We have had several teams go out on disaster relief projects in the last couple of years. Disaster Relief teams help with cleaning up after disasters, tree cutting with chain saws, prepping meals, and chaplain work. Training is available this weekend in Lincoln Park and New City Church. On Friday they are offering basic, feeding, and chaplain training and then chaplain training again on Saturday. Call Anita at (734) 673-3240 to register. For further details, click here. Members’ Meeting - This Sunday night at 5:30 is our Members' Meeting. To ensure we have a great turnout, we are having dinner together! But we need your help to make that happen. Please click here to bring something for the dinner or to volunteer. RSVPing helps us to set up the right number of tables. As for the meeting, we have regular reports and ministry updates including a video from someone we support. We will also be entertaining a motion regarding some work that we need to do on the walls and roof of the building. Quarterly reports are available at the kiosk. For questions, grab one of our elders or deacons at the dinner. See you there!
Dr. Erwin Lutzer - This Monday night at 7pm we are hosting Dr. Lutzer who was the pastor at Moody Church in Chicago for many years. We are hosting this free event, but radio station WMUZ is promoting it and has been planning it from the beginning. There is no need or place to RSVP. Just show up and enjoy a message from Dr. Lutzer called, “Telling the Truth in a World of Lies.”
Volunteer Opportunities - contact the church office or the specific person mentioned.
From time to time we host funeral lunches. We could use help with setting up the tables and chairs and then tearing them down. If you would like to help, contact Jessica Gehrke.
